How to Remove Stains from Mattress

Step 1

If you spill any liquid on your mattress, the first thing you will need to do is to remove as much liquid as possible.

To do it, quickly gather a piece of cloth and blot the extra liquid off the mattress. It is better to use a towel that can soak up most of the liquid.

Step 2

Now you will need liquid soap and water to remove the stain from the mattress. Pour some liquid soap and a bowl filled with cold water.

Dip a piece of cloth in it and squeeze off the excess water. Now dab the cloth on the stain and gently rub so that the stain comes off.

Step 3

If the stain is quite strong and doesn’t want to come off easily, you can try using vinegar. Pour some white vinegar in a bottle and spray it on the stain.

Now keep it like that for 10 minutes so that the vinegar gets soaked by the mattress. Let it dry naturally.

Step 4

If you want to get rid of such stains that have been there for a long time, using vinegar or soapy water won’t be enough.

If you have bloodstain or stain from vomit, you will need to use hydrogen peroxide to get rid of it.

Step 5

To use hydrogen peroxide, spray it on the stained area. Make sure you wear a pair of gloves before using hydrogen peroxide.

Let it sit for around 15 minutes and wipe the area with a piece of cloth.

With the steps mentioned above, you can remove stain from your mattress easily.

It is always recommended to clean the mattress as soon as possible.
