If you are worried about little scratches you got on the glass, you have come to the right place.
Use a glass polishing kit
You can use a glass polisher for windshields to get rid of fine scratches that you see on glass. The kit can be attached to a drill. Most other types of glass polishing compounds will require an industrial rotary machine polisher.
Read on for more ideas on how to remove scratches from glass. If the size of the scratch is small, you can get rid of it with a few DIY methods.
How to Remove Scratches from Glass
Step 1
At first, you will need to clean the glass to get rid of the dust. Use a clean piece of microfiber and wipe the glass carefully.
After you are done cleaning it, it is time to apply toothpaste.
Step 2
To apply toothpaste on the glass, you will need a microfiber cloth for buffing. Dampen it with warm water.
Squeeze off the excess water and add toothpaste on the cloth.
Step 3
You should use a white toothpaste instead of a gel toothpaste. Now rub the microfiber cloth against the glass for around one minute.
Make sure you go in a circular motion as well as stay gentle while rubbing.
Step 4
Repeat the process a few times based on the size of the scratch. If one attempt doesn’t work, use more toothpaste and rub it gently against the glass.
Step 5
After you are done, dampen another clean cloth with cold water and wipe the glass thoroughly. Let it dry.
Step 6
If using toothpaste doesn’t work for you, you can follow up with baking soda. Take a bowl and mix one tablespoon of baking soda with one tablespoon of water.
Mix it well until the mixture forms into a paste.
Step 7
Take a microfiber cloth and apply the mixture with it on the scratch. Rub it in a circular motion for around 1 minute.
Use more mixture if needed. After you are done, use cold water to clean the glass and let it dry naturally.
These are two of the most effective methods to remove the scratch from the glass.
These methods will work only when the size of the scratch is small and won’t work for large scratches.
