Step 1: Turn on the washing machine and fill in cold water

The first thing you need to do is to get the cloth that has the chemical in it. Then turn on your washing machine to the cold water nob to fill the machine with cold water.

If you choose to clean or wash the cloth by hand, then fill a bucket with cold water to do your job.

But as the cloth contains the harmful chemical in it, it is better to clean it in the washing machine.

That will help you to keep your hands safe and harm-free from the chemical.

Step 2: Add milk powder to the water

After you have filled the bucket or the washing machine with the cold water, now you need to add a cup of milk powder.

Bring out the soap tray of the washing machine to pour in the powder milk or add that milk to the bucket filled with water.

You can change the amount according to your need if you are using the bucket. The amount will change according to the bucket capacity.

Look for your washing machine capacity to determine the amount for the bucket.

Step 3: Get the clothes inside the washing machine or bucket

Now, get your clothes with formaldehyde and put it in the washing machine or the bucket. Make sure that you only wash the pesticide clothes.

So, be extra careful about this. Soak the cloth for around 3 to 5 hours. Let them sit for the cleaning process to be successful.

Step 4: Turn on the washing machine to rinse and spin

Next, you need to turn on your washing machine to the mode of rinse and spin cycle. Make sure to close the doors and let the washing machine finish the process.

For the handwashing process, get a wooden spoon to spin off the clothes in the bucket water. It will take a bit of time to do with hands.

Step 5: Add baking soda and fresh cold water in the washing machine

After you are done with the spin cycle process, now empty the water from the machine or the bucket and fill it again with cold water.

Add 1 cup of baking soda and ¼ cup of laundry detergent to the tray of the washing machine or directly put it in the bucket.

Turn on the machine or use the spoon again to spin the clothes in the bucket to clean.

Step 6: Add vinegar to the washing process

Whenever you are ready to start the washing process, open the tray or the door of the washing machine and put 1 cup of vinegar in it.

Use the white vinegar to do the job. You can put the vinegar directly in the washing bucket for cleaning. Then start the washing process and wait till it is complete.

Step 7: Dry in direct sunlight

After you are done with the cleaning process, get your clothes out of the washing machine or the bucket, and hang it in the direct sunlight.

Make sure that you keep it away from the direct heat. Direct heat can damage the cloth. Let the cloth dry in the sunlight for a few hours.

It is better to leave it to dry for around 8 to 10 hours. So, you need to start cleaning the cloth in the early morning to get enough sunlight to dry up.

And your clothes will be formaldehyde-free in one day.
