How to Remove Coffee Stains in 5 Easy Simple Steps

Coffee leave an annoying stain and it’s inevitable for those of us who depend on the cup of java.

Getting rid of fresh stains is easy and also, not always possible. Dried-on coffee stains can be hard to remove because the tannin likes to stick around.

The stubborn stain of the coffee is difficult to remove with common detergents in the market.

How to Remove Coffee Stains from Clothes

1. Wash with in Cold Water

For new stains, simply wash with cold water and that will do the trick.

If some of the stain is left over, wash it with baking soda or dish soap. The coffee stain should be gone now!

For old stains, you will want to use the next step.

2. Add Stain Remover

Apply an effective stain remover, like Granda’s Secret spray, to the coffee-stained area.

Completely saturate the stain and wait a few minutes. Then move on to Step 4.

If you don’t want to use a stain remover, you can go to Step 3.

3. Rub Liquid Detergent

Apply liquid detergent to the stain. Let it sit for 5 minutes and rub it a little after that.

For old stains, soak the stain in warm water and then rub some more detergent on them. This will get to the ground in, dried-on stains.

4. Wash and Dry

Lastly, wash the garment in the washer.

Use an enzymatic laundry detergent for more stain-fighting power.

You may have to repeat the process if the stain is too stubborn.

How to Remove Coffee Stains from Carpet

You can do it yourself with a spot stain removing machine or a carpet cleaning machine.

Add hydrogen peroxide or the carpet cleaning solution into the water in the tank.

For dried-on large coffee stains, you’ll need to go over the spot a few times. It’s easy to do with these machines that work like your vacuum cleaner.

For spot stains, use a stain remover spray bottle.

Simply spray to apply and blot with a towel.

Launder the towel right away or you will also need to spray the towel with the stain remover at a later date.

These steps will make sure the coffee stains are removed.
