If you have a hardwood vacuum cleaner at home, then it’s easy for you.

Even if you don’t own one then don’t worry just use a soft-bristled broom to wipe off the dust from the floor.

If your floor has stained somewhere, don’t worry and try to remove it with damp microfiber cloth first.

If it doesn’t come out, then you can use soft sandpaper gently over the area to make the stain go away.

Take out the dust which has been created by sanding. Then use a spray bottle to spray some water onto the floor and mop it clean using a soft mop or cloth.

In this way, you won’t get excess moisture that can damp the floor.

Specialized Cleaners

Liquid and hardwood flooring don’t match well. So, be very careful while using any liquid.

For stains, you can use mineral spirits or trisodium phosphate with a soft pad but remember to dust the area first and wear protective gloves to save your skin.

You also might want to use these chemicals in a well-ventilated room as sometimes it can make you feel dizzy.

If you want to avoid these side effects and can’t get these from the store right away, then use a vinegar solution.

It is the safest and cheapest of all liquids as it is more natural and chemical-free. Use half teacup of vinegar per gallon of water.

Put some water into the spraying bottle and use it with a soft scrub brush.

After the use, make sure to wipe the solution away with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly with a clean rug to leave no excess on the wood.
