Step 2

The second step is to sprinkle baking soda on your carpet. You will need a big amount of baking soda so that it covers each section of your carpet. You can sprinkle the baking soda directly from the packaging.

Step 3

Alternatively, use a container or glass to sprinkle evenly on the carpet. Make sure that every section of your carpet is covered with baking soda.

Step 4

Now you will need a sponge to scrub the carpet well. If your carpet has been uncleaned for a long time, you can use a scrub brush with a soft bristle that will work better. Scrub properly so that the baking soda reaches the underneath of your carpet. If you don’t want to harm the material of your carpet, you can also use a piece of clean cloth for scrubbing.

Step 5

Keep this section of the carpet untouched and make sure no one walks on it. Keep the carpet with baking soda for around 12 hours. You can let it sit for more than 12 hours, which will work better.

Step 6

Vacuum your carpet once again after at least 12 hours. It is better to vacuum the carpet 2 or 3 times so that there is no baking soda left in your carpet.

It is recommended to clean carpets once every 3 or 4 months. Cleaning a carpet regularly makes your home a healthier place for your kids and pets.
