Then, if you want, you can fill the tub with a little amount of water.

The parts of the hot tub that doesn’t want to come off easily, you will need to use vinegar and baking soda.

To remove these water lines from the tub, you will need to make a solution of vinegar and water.

Take one part of vinegar and one part of water to get rid of the water lines. Take a clean rag and dip it in the mixture.

Then, you will need to scrub the waterline areas with the rag.

Step 4: Use baking soda if needed

You can clean the dirt with baking soda. Scrubbing the area with a sponge and baking soda will help to clean the surface of the hot tub.

If you are thinking that baking soda can affect the surface negatively, don’t worry. Baking soda is completely fine and gentle enough to scrub on the acrylic surface.

We will suggest you to use baking soda as baking soda can dissolve the hard dirt easily and quickly.

Step 5: Apply olive oil on the affected areas of the hot tub

If there is any particular area in your hot tub that seems to lose its smoothness and glow, you can apply olive oil to bring back the glow.

You can apply the oil with your hand and rub the area well. Then, use soapy water to get rid of the oil.

Rinse the area with water and dry off with a clean rag. This particular step is optional. If you think that the oil can make your hot tub greasy, then you can avoid this step.

Step 6: Reactivate the hot tub

As you turned off the hot tub in the first place, you will need to turn it on. Turn on the circuit breaker at first.

Wait for a few minutes to see if you hear any weird sound. If there is no sound, you will be sure that the filters of your hot tub are working properly.

Step 7: Use a chlorine tablet to keep the water clean

With a clean rag, wipe down the surface of the tub at least once a week. It will keep your hot tub clean.

As the water in some areas can contain more chemicals, you will need to clean it to be free from any water-related diseases.

And if you use vinegar once every two months to clean the hot tub, it will be enough.

You can keep your hot tub clean by using vinegar. We will suggest you soak the hot tub with vinegar once in a while.

Doing this once a year will be enough to keep your hot tub clean. You can do this by pouring white vinegar in the hot tub.

Just get one gallon of white vinegar to do this. You might think that this method can be costly for you, it will serve you for a long time which will be worth it.
